Bar on the Hill, Newcastle Uni

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard made their way to Newcastle’s Bar on the Hill last week as part of their eight date Gizzfest tour. You’d be forgiven for being surprised the band could even squeeze another tour into 2017 after delivering a whopping 5 albums in the last 12 months.
The band brought with them a whole tribe of acts to complement their psychedelic rock sound including Japan’s Kikagaku Moyo and America’s La Luz.
King Gizzard are well known for their passionate stage presence and proved that a regional show is no excuse to hold back. Their onstage outfit comes complete with two drummers, a flute and a 12-string guitar. The band is simply a must-see for anyone who enjoys a truly unique stage performance.
