[Live Review] ALL TIME LOW (Sydney)

All Time Low - Brooke Nash 07

UNSW Roundhouse, Sydney
Friday August 30, 2013 :

The night was cool, and the room was packed with pre teens and older. Just looking at the crowd you can see that All Time Low reach all different kinds of ears. From their relatable lyrics for the young, to the melodic and well written music for the music appreciators, All Time Low have found their place in a lot of people’s hearts.

As the band walk on stage and the crowd roared, the familiar and fun sounds of ‘Lost In Stereo’ from their album, So Wrong, It’s Right, came blasting through the crowds ears! And from there on in, the fun didn’t stop!

Covering songs from all four full lengths, All Time Low showed their abilities to not only entertain but also showcased their tight musicianship. And to top it all off, their on stage banter was in full form, from penises to mums and everything in between. A lot of laughs and a few shocked parents faces showed that All Time Low still have it.

With five songs played from their new album, Don’t Panic, you could tell that the band were proud of the material they had written and in comparison to their older material, these new songs are streets ahead. Highlights of the night were, of course, ‘Dear Maria’, ‘Back Seat Serenade’ and a really awesome cover of Greenday’s ‘American Idiot’.

Always a fun time and great music, All Time Low did not disappoint.
