In 1992 the Alan Parker film The Commitments based on the short novel by Roddy Doyle was released. The Commitments is something of a rags-to-riches story that sees the group fall just short of stardom. The movie received massive international recognition, nominated for Grammy’s and Academy Awards, and won several BAFTA’s and Brit Awards.
After recent six sold out Arena shows in the UK & Ireland Andrew Strong will be touring the Commitments show down-under to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the Film. The 8-piece band will be performing all the hits that were not only made famous from the film but received incredible chart success in Australia.
