As we close the door on the first month of a new year, Groovin the Moo (GTM) is pleased to reveal another terrific run in 2016! With two public holidays throughout the tour, many music lovers are sure to embrace the notion of a road trip immersing themselves into the diverse and affable atmosphere of what is regional Australia.

Our GTM communities are what make the moo experience so unique. Be it through local music, creative ventures or their distinct produce, the 2016 Groovin the Moo events will shine the spotlight even brighter on each region. With even more local establishments showcasing their wares GTM 2016 will offer patrons a broad choice of goodies to imbibe.

Ground Control at GTM is once again calling out to artists, graphic designers, students, professionals and hobbyists to submit their artwork and enter the 2016 GTM-TEE Competition – round 7 of the annual search for merch! The year is 3016 and revelers have been transported on a journey through space and time – 100 years into the future. Your mission is to create a futuristic festival T-shirt that embraces the cosmic jive of outer space. To monitor the trajectory of orbiting entries we welcome judges; Tee – aficionado and founder of T-world Eddie Zammit, Craig Carroll (Art Director at Empire Magazine) and the fabulous Ngaiire (GTM 2016 artist).

In other news, Groovin is a vivid new book reflecting on over a decade of Australia’s only touring regional music festival, Groovin the Moo. From humble beginnings at the showground in Gloucester NSW to the national tour that is GTM, this publication takes you front, side and backstage through spectacular event photography, festival artwork, and a candid look behind the scenes.
