[News] JOE BONAMASSA 2016 AUSTRALIAN TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT

Joe Bonamassa-2

Hot off the heels of his blistering performance at Blues Fest in Byron Bay over Easter, blues-rock guitarist extraordinaire Joe Bonamassa is happy to announce he will be returning to Australian shores for a national headline tour this September, including a very special evening that will see Joe play his debut performance at the Sydney Opera House.

The September tour will be the first chance for Australian fans to experience tracks from Joe’s new album, Blues of Desperation (in store March 25th via J&R Adventures), live.

No stranger to the stage, Joe Bonamassa kicked off his live career opening for the legendary BB King, at the tender age of 12! One of the hardest touring artists of modern times, he averages 100 shows a year playing festivals like Eric Clapton’s Cross Roads Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival and many more. And headline shows at venues all over the world, from the iconic Radio City Music Hall in NYC, to the middle of the ocean on his very own Keeping The Blues Alive at Seat cruise.

A musical career spanning twenty-seven years, twenty solo albums, a list of collaborations featuring the who’s who of the music industry’s elite, and his work with the non-profit Keeping The Blues Alive Foundation, which he founded and oversees, promoting the heritage of the blues to the next generation, funding music scholarships, and supplementing the loss of music education in public schools. Joe has released twenty solo albums, twelve studio and eight live, and been involved in twenty side project releases. There’s a case to be made that Joe Bonamassa, is the hardest working man in show business.

Joe Bonamassa will head to Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne this September/ October, tickets on sale 9am local time Friday April 11th from jbonamassa.com
