Situated in the lush landscape of NSW Central Coast Mount Penang Parklands and now in its fourth year, Mountain Sounds Festival today announces its return weekend of Friday 17th – Saturday, 18 February 2017. With a reputation for sporting a line-up of top tier talent, the two-night camping adventure proves itself once again with news of Brisbane-based ratbags, Dune Rats as the first act on the bill.

Testament to their stunning surrounds, carefully curated line-up, on-site shindigs and festival festivities, early bird tickets have now sold out, before the line-up has been shared. Late bird tickets are now on-sale here, with the full line-up announced on 27 October.

Having sold out the previous two years with first-class acts such as Albert Hammond Jr (The Strokes), Alison Wonderland, DZ Deathrays, SAFIA, Tkay Maidza, D.D Dumbo and Alpine, it’s no surprise that Mountain Sounds Festival has become a staple in the iCal’s of the country’s most discerning festival goers.

Dune Rats are currently running around Europe and the UK on a co-headlining tour with fellow indie rockers, DZ Deathrays. The tour continues into the USA and Canada in November. They appeared on Drapht’s most recent single, ‘Mexico’, have been working on new music with good friend Zac Carper (Fidlar), and have hinted at a new release in late 2016 / early 2017.

With the ‘Magic Mountain’ celebration for campers and festival ticket holders being held on the Friday night, punters are encouraged to don fancy dress and begin their wild weekend in style.
