[News] VOLUMES FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES 2017 LINE-UP

Volumes Festival is back in 2017 for the third year running. Returning to the heart of Sydney, the event takes place on Saturday 19th August across Oxford Square and the surrounding area including iconic Sydney live music venues Oxford Art Factory, The Cliff Dive and Brighton Up Bar.

Having previously played hosts to the likes of Koi Child, Nicholas Allbrook, Methyl Ethel and more, this year’s event will feature a new wave of Australia’s rising talent including Jonti, Gold Class, Baro, The Ocean Party, Retiree, Fortunes., Lucy Cliche, Orion, World Champion, Mezko, RVG, Wallace, Ara Koufax, Willaris. K, Sam Weston, Love Deluxe, Body Type, HATCHIE, Bus Vipers, The Goods, Genesis Owusu, Moaning Lisa, Party Dozen, GAUCI, Clypso, Tru, La Sape, Future Classic DJs, DCR DJs and Noisey DJs, with more to be announced soon.

Back as a multi-stage, multi-venue music festival experience, the event will showcase more than 50 of the most exciting and interesting emerging artists, labels and collectives of Australia’s creative community across four stages, including stage collaborations from the Sydney-born label Future Classic who take over the Oxford Art Factory whilst Noisey (VICE) present a stage at the Brighton Up Bar.

In just two years, Volumes 2015 and 2016 events have stood in a class of their own, inviting musicians and music lovers alike to reignite a part of the inner city that is sometimes forgotten. Volumes Festival has forged an experience like no other, teaming up an impressive line-up of emerging musicians within intimate and immersive sensory spaces that explore the relationships between music, art and technology. Nominated for Best Live Event at FBi SMAC Awards and Best New Event at the Concrete Playground Best of Sydney, Volumes Festival has firmly embedded itself into the Sydney calendar and is doing its part to Keep Sydney Open.

Volumes Festival prides itself on being an inclusive event, welcoming music and people from all genres and backgrounds in a safe space.

The festival also believes that everyone should be able to enjoy and experience amazing music, art and community and have set up a new ‘Pay What You Can’ and Early Bird ticketing option this year in an effort to keep the event accessible to all. The first round of both ticketing options have sold out, with a second allocation on sale today from 9AM. All contributions to Volumes Festival go towards supporting the incredible emerging live music and arts community.
