Villainy opened the night and got the energy moving through the room. With strong music and vocals filling the room, the vibe in the crowd was gearing up and there was good energy both on and off the stage. Each song drew the crowd in, and in spite of one song sounding like he was singing himself hoarse, the set was a great way to get the night kicked off.

The crowd was ready for Halestorm…. the waiting turned into a chant and it wasn’t long before Lzzy took to the stage. The crowd went wild. She was beaming and excited to be there just as much as the crowd was to see her. Opening with ‘Do Not Disturb’, ‘Love Bites’, and ‘I Get Off’, they were really delivering the love to Sydney, and getting that love back.

‘Mr Hyde’ amped the crowd up, with their response being at full volume. ‘Amen’ felt a fresh surge of energy through the crowd and the power of Lzzy’s voice is just mind-blowing the more she goes along.

Then it was drum-solo time. Arejay giving us quite a show with the acrobatics of the drumsticks and his incredible energy and passion. The crowd got a bonus when one of the kids of the all ages audience got pulled up on stage and got to play alongside Arejay.

The crowd really kicked it up a notch during ‘Freak Like Me’ with Lzzy’s passionate vocal diversity and playing to her crowd. ‘Uncomfortable’ brought with it a shout out to the ladies from Lzzy, “Dress however you want to dress, do whatever you want, be whatever you want to be, kiss whoever you want”, reminding us to be who we are.

Another relatable song in the list ‘Black Vultures’, a song of survival. The crowd was engrossed, returning the band’s energy back to them with interest. Power anthem ‘I Am The Fire’ ending the set strong.

Finishing the show with ‘Here’s To Us’, and ‘Misery’, Lzzy vocal strength was highlighted… just her, a beautiful melody and keyboards…. and we are in awe. It was a wonderful night, something new, something old, and something that I would do again next weekend.
