[News] ADDITIONAL SHOWS ANNOUNCED TO TEENAGE DADS ‘MIDNIGHT DRIVING’ TOUR

Fresh off the back of their debut in the triple j Hottest 100 (#63 ‘Teddy’) over the weekend, today 2022 breakthrough act Teenage Dads announce their highly anticipated upcoming EP Midnight Driving to be released on Friday 3rd March 2023. The Mornington Peninsula four-piece also appeared on triple j’s Like A Version this morning putting their own spin on The Buggles’ 80s anthem ‘Video Killed The Radio Star’, as well as an electrifying rendition of original ‘Teddy’.

Featuring recent electrifying singles ‘Hey, Diego!’, ‘Teddy’ and ‘Exit Sign’, Teenage Dads’ upcoming Midnight Driving EP also features three unreleased tracks that take a slight sonic detour from their distinctive upbeat, experimental sound and adventurous storylines, instead taking a slower, softer, more synth-heavy route. Uncovering a side of their sound that is a little older and a little wiser, yet just as catchy and sonically adventurous, the band explain that their forthcoming Midnight Driving EP “… is about perspective. How things look from one point of view, and how they can change over time from another outlook. The songs feel like diary entries, documented internally, like conversations you have with yourself when you go Midnight Driving. A constant, internal form of therapy almost.”

Teenage Dads have little to prove about their ability to hold the attention of a crowd – announcing today that additional shows have been added in Sydney and Melbourne after selling out the original dates months ahead of their Midnight Driving National Tour. Kicking off from the 3rd March 2023, the band will take their out-of-this-world live show across a 10-stop Australian & New Zealand tour playing their biggest crowds and venues yet. The band will also be taking their live set on the road as part of the 2023 Groovin The Moo lineup, playing a six-stop regional run over April and May 2023.
