RÜFÜS DU SOL have emerged as one of the world’s preeminent live electronic acts. The Australian three-piece, comprised of members Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt, have released two platinum-certified albums, ATLAS and Bloom, with their newly unveiled third album Solace ushering in a new chapter for the trio. Solace finds RÜFÜS DU SOL charting new territory, exploring deeper subgenres and more potent lyricism for an entirely new side to the group. “It’s about finding a sense of hope in a darker time,” the trio says. The album was born out of a particularly poignant period for the band and thus tackles heavier themes such as the pain of loss and the persistence of memory.

In 2019 Tyler, The Creator released his latest album IGOR via Columbia Records and Sony Music Entertainment Australia, marking his first full-length release since 2017’s Grammy-nominated album Flower Boy. Debuting at number 1 on the U.S. Billboard charts, the venerable Rolling Stone Magazine called the album, “heartfelt” and revealing the acclaimed producer, rapper and singer to be “a shape-shifting artist who is still growing.” With IGOR Tyler, The Creator has cemented his reputation as one of the most essential voices in modern hip hop and as an undeniable international superstar.

Chicago house and techno legend Curtis Jones aka Green Velvet, the alter ego to his tech alias Cajmere, has cultivated a wildly successful and enduring career crafting world class anthems that have ensured a devoted global following. No stranger to Australian shores thanks to numerous memorable live sets, Green Velvet cemented his reputation with classic club singles including “Preacher Man,” “Answering Machine,” and “The Stalker” to name but a few. These infectious, undeniably fun records with simple vocal tag lines and a wonderful sense of humour showcase the DJ’s prodigious talent and ability to craft indelible dance tunes. Today, sort after across the globe for his floor filling house and techno sets Green Velvet is as popular as ever, playing all the legendary festivals and venues on your bucket list.

In a now long forgotten world, many generations ago, a bird like shape emerged from wooded darkness, floating and fluttering, drifting and dreaming. Backlit by a bright glow of iridescent light, the undecipherable form wore a dazzling golden mask. Its long beak swooped down like an inverted horn and since then, people have referred to the mythical being simply as Claptone. Years spending wandering medieval landscapes have informed Claptone’s view of the world, experiencing both magical mystery and muted melancholy he enchanted onlookers with occult instruments and beguiling sounds.

2019 is shaping up to be Hayden James’s biggest year yet, with the release of his much anticipated debut album “Between Us”, followed by a world tour that brought his brand new live production to eager audiences in Australia, North America and Europe. Hayden James has been producing immense summer house jams with soulful and evocative vocals ever since he burst onto the Australian music scene in 2013. He’s since captured worldwide attention and critical success with multiple Platinum-certified hits and a music collection that’s amassed 97 million streams just last year alone. Recently breakout hits “Better Together” featuring Running Touch and “Just Friends” featuring singer Boy Matthews which became one of his quickest-streaming songs ever, going double Platinum in Australia and currently boasting over 50 million plays.

Borrowing elements from the past but always looking forward, DJ and fashion icon Honey Dijon exquisitely curated cross-genre sets create total dance-floor chaos wherever she plays – from Berghain to Space or Smart Bar. As a producer, her reputation for bringing this knowledge to her forward thinking creations is growing all the time. Born and raised in Chicago – the home of house music – the city’s influence on Honey’s style is deeply ingrained. Like many in the scene, her love affair with music began upon hearing her parent’s soul and R&B records at home. Soon, it was clear to her that she needed to be the one dropping the needle on the record at her parent’s basement parties – at which point there was no turning back – club life beckoned.

If anyone deserves to break the shackles and enjoy the moment, it’s multi-platinum-selling musician Matt Corby. For a decade, Corby has been pushing his own boundaries, embracing a journey of self-discovery that’s seen him wrestle a few pre-conceptions and stare down his share of demons. Now, with two ARIA Song of the Year awards on the shelf, and a #1 debut album, Telluric, behind him, Corby can genuinely lay claim to some hard-earned perspective. None of which is to suggest Corby’s latest album, Rainbow Valley, isn’t clever or prone to making people feel good. It is both, and then some. Written and recorded in a period that also saw the birth of his first child, Corby’s second full-length release is brimming with a new-found vitality and joy.

Meg Mac has one of the most breathtaking and profoundly soulful voices in music today; an expressive and emotive instrument that brings drama to her songs about vulnerability, self-worth and loss of identity. “My voice is who I am more than I can ever be,” Meg Mac says. “It’s when I can be free and say what I want.” Following capacity shows in the US, UK, Europe and more than 20,000 tickets in sold out venues across Australia, Meg Mac releases her new album ‘Hope’; a powerful set of thoughtful and at times deeply personal missives. This record was also indirectly informed by my past;” Meg explains. “I’d been reflecting on where I come from; particularly my Irish background, the music and singing that constantly filled my home – Irish music, soul music, Bob Dylan and Van Morrison were filtering throughout those early years. Then while I was writing in New York I read Patti Smith’s book ‘Just Kids; a book filled with her past, a New York world of characters, poetry, art and music. It was rich and deeply inspiring”.

From early UK pioneer to global icon, Skepta’s influence is felt throughout contemporary culture. His fifth album Ignorance Is Bliss released via Skepta’s own Boy Better Know label, is brilliantly uncompromising, authentic and unwavering in its desire to push boundaries and is set to go down as Skepta’s best album to date. Taking the lead / sole producer role on the majority of the record alongside the likes of Ragz Originale, Ayo, IndigoChildRick and Trench, and collaborations with Nafe Smallz, Key, J Hus, Cheb Rabi & B Live, Lancey Foux, Lay Z & Wizkid and BBK. Ignorance Is Bliss is the follow up to his era and genre-defining, UK gold certified 2016 album Konnichiwa, which won the coveted Mercury Music Prize and saw Skepta picking up awards and collaborating around the world, including multiple BRIT Awards nominations
