[News] BRUNO MAJOR ADDS SHOWS TO JAN 2024 NZ & AUSTRALIAN TOUR

UK singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Bruno Major, known for his “blissful, soulful, romantic” sound (Billboard), has shared his latest music video for single ‘18’ from his third studio album Columbo out now.

‘18’ poignantly captures Bruno’s feelings after the loss of two loved ones to suicide; Bruno now reflects “I’m twice the age you’ll ever be.”

Directed by LA’s Tess Lafia (Maya Hawke, Skims, Laufey, Eloise) the music video captures the lyrics’ sentimentality in a minimalistic, snow-covered setting. Bruno reminisces amongst the pine as the sky fades from twilight to sunrise.

‘18’ was released as part of Bruno’s latest album Columbo, the highly anticipated follow-up to 2020’s To Let A Good Thing Die. The 12-track body of work weaves the autobiographical with the observational and stretches Bruno’s palette into new forms, yielding the most accomplished and honest expression of his music to date.

Marking a triumphant return to the stage after his 2020 tour was cancelled due to COVID, Bruno Major will be heading to Australia and New Zealand in January 2024, playing his largest shows to date. He has added additional shows in Perth & Melbourne after the first shows sold-out quickly.

Bruno Major’s journey has been an extraordinary testament to staying true to oneself. The antihero of music stardom, Bruno has been completely uncompromising in his craft, creating unrivalled lyrical landscapes that don’t conform to the musical status quo of today, but still deeply resonate with fans across the globe.

His dedication to sincerity and immediacy in his craft was solidified via his 2017 debut record, A Song For Every Moon. Recorded and released independently, the record gained powerful word-of-mouth momentum internationally with key single ‘Easily’ RIAA-certified Platinum in North America. Its 2020 follow-up, To Let a Good Thing Die, was similarly far-reaching, a beautifully crafted tapestry of stories of human relationships, love and heartbreak, and existential musings; one single, ‘The Most Beautiful Thing’, emerged from a special co-writing session with producer and pop luminary FINNEAS, and another standout track ‘Nothing’ became RIAA-certified Gold in North America.

His latest 12-track LP, Columbo, released on July 21, reflects his subtle evolution as a songwriter. The album bears witness to Major’s introspective turn, drawing its name from a white vintage 1978 Mercedes 380SL he acquired during a six-month sojourn in Los Angeles. The car was sadly written off after a sudden crash, but this became an inspired moment of clarity, that shaped the romantic essence of the album.

Bruno is trained as a classical guitarist and has earned support from the likes of Sam Smith, Billie Eilish, Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, Lianne La Havas, Hailey Bieber, and Kourtney Kardashian, to name a few. Prior to the pandemic, he toured extensively, selling over 50,000 headline tickets, made his TV debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden, his festival debut at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, and opened for Sam Smith’s European arena tour.
