Captives’ new album will take you “Over The Rainbow“! Their brand new album is out next Friday, 30th March 2018. They are celebrating today with a new single and raucous house party video – and their album tour announcement! The party-hard-AF band’s new single and video ‘House Parties and Black Balloons’ is also out now. A Backyard Party ensues in the Filmclip – and Captives are at the centre of the mayhem!
They are also heading out on their official album release tour – Friday May 4th sees the band at The Gasometer Hotel in Melbourne, Saturday May 5th at the Exeter Hotel Beer Garden in Adelaide, Friday May 11 at Waywards in Sydney, Saturday May 12 at The Bearded Lady in Brisbane, Friday May 25 at The Brisbane Hotel in Hobart and Saturday May 26 will be a Secret House Party somewhere in Tasmania! Captives once again worked with Tom Larkin (Producer) and Samuel K Sproull (Mixing Engineer) in the now-Homesurgery Recordings Studios (nee Studios in the City.) for Over the Rainbow!
Captives have enjoyed rotation play on triple j and triple j unearthed (they were one of the top 50 most played artists on triple j unearthed in 2014!), some love on Triple M, and have supported the likes of Cog, The Damned, Pulled Apart By Horses, Grenadiers, Born Lion and Shihad, as well as toured their own hectic, raucous shows and tours.
Over the Rainbow will be released into the world on Friday March 30 via Inertia Distribution and will be available to pre-order in iTunes and Digital Outlets from Friday February 9th. Single ‘House Parties and Black Balloons’ will be available in iTunes (as a grat track with the pre-order) and Spotify from 23rd March as well.
