[News] FLOWERTRUCK’S MOSTLY SUNNY ALBUM TOUR

Sydney’s beloved Flowertruck are bring their joyous debut LP, Mostly Sunny on an east coast tour this month hitting Melbourne and By The Meadow Festival this weekend, followed by Brisbane (14th) , Woollongong (15th) and Sydney (28th). The band hit the road with a slew of super special guests in tow including Big White, Chakra Efendi, Gauci, Sleepclub and Real Love.

It’s always Spring time where Flowertruck is, and the Sydney four-piece’s ten track debut Mostly Sunny flourishes with 10 tracks of synth charged indie rock. Featuring lifting instrumentals, recurring lyrical themes of uncertainty, growing pains and a healthy dose of quintessential Aussie self depreciation, the album follows their 2015’s EP Dirt, and was inspired by the trials of constant touring. Guitarist Hamish Dobinsonexplains the new record Mostly Sunny as “kind of our coming of age as a band and signals a new era in Flowertruck. Our EP was our adolescence not only as a band but also as musicians. The LP is a marker of our development together as a band and in our musicianship from so much bloody touring.”
