[News] GOTH BABE ANNOUNCES AUSTRALIAN HEADLINE TOUR

Goth Babe has announced his inaugural Australian tour set to take place in October-November 2024. Across four enchanting evenings, Goth Babe will take the stage at an array of Australia’s most iconic venues including Enmore Theatre in Sydney, The Forum in Melbourne, The Tivoli in Brisbane and The Rechabite in Perth, bringing with him his shimmering discography which offers a sonic respite from the heaviness of the world. To coincide with the news, Goth Babe’s debut album Lola is out tomorrow, a sonic homage to the namesake sailboat on which he now lives, and a splendid confirmation of Goth Babe’s story so far.

Since his breakthrough single ‘Sometimes’ in 2018, Goth Babe (née Griff Washburn) has balanced his skyrocketing profile as a musician by staying grounded and living a scaled-back lifestyle that allows him to pursue his love of the outdoors and the environment. Having spent time living in his car, a tiny house, and a camper van, all-inclusive of moments of joy and unfettered freedom as well as loneliness and trauma, Lola is ripe with shimmering sounds and topsy-turvy life dynamics, meticulously coiled into 11 incredible tracks that look for respite and redemption.

In tandem with the album, Goth Babe has released the album’s accompanying short film Lola. Griff’s story is special and the Lola documentary puts his success story as a musician, with over 900 million streams and countless sold-out shows, into context. Living in small spaces (and recording music in those spaces) has helped Griff pare his life down — making room for the important things in his life: travel, adventure, music, and most importantly, fun.

Directed by Ian Durkin, the short film follows the making of his new album and offers an inside look into the artist behind Goth Babe (where you can also get to know his perpetual sidekick, his blue-eyed Australian Shepherd named Sadie).
