[News] HANDS LIKE HOUSES HEADLINE SHOWS RESCHEDULED TO MAY + EXTRA CANBERRA SHOW ADDED

Australian rockers Hands Like Houses make a powerful return with their brand new single ‘BLOODRUSH’ featuring RedHook’s Emmy Mack, revealed as part of Tropo – Volume 1, the first of a series of releases to come in 2024. It follows the postponement of Hands Like Houses’ headline tour until May, with an extra show added in Canberra.

A post-hardcore anthem, ‘BLOODRUSH’ depicts a tumultuous relationship with addiction and communicates the rush people seek to get through the day, without consideration of the consequences that follow. There is an acknowledgement of deep entanglement in what is a destructive cycle – feeling enslaved by the allure of drugs or other unhealthy coping mechanisms, as well as the casual culture surrounding them.

Australian rockers Hands Like Houses today usher in a new era, releasing their anthemic first single ‘Heaven’ fronted by the band’s new vocalist Josh Raven. The track comes with the announcement of a four-date tour along the East Coast in early 2024.

Friday 1 March – Fun Time Pony, Canberra
Thursday 7 March – Brightside, Brisbane
Friday 8 March – Oxford Art Factory, Sydney
Sunday 10 March – Max Watts, Melbourne

Pairing an atmospheric soundscape with heavy riffs, ‘Heaven’ is about the weight of living in our society, highlighting the confusion and polarisation of our generation through religion, culture and politics. It points out how we have forgotten to focus on love and acceptance; instead feeding manipulation, pain and corruption. The track sees frontman Josh unleash a new side to his voice – grittier and more aggressive than his previous sound with Perth band The Faim, who found a devoted audience in Europe after reaching Platinum sales in France.

To celebrate their grand return, Hands Like Houses will play a small run of headline shows along the East Coast early in 2024 – kicking off with a hometown show in Canberra on March 1, before visiting Brisbane’s Brightside on March 7, Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on March 8 and finishing up at Max Watts in Melbourne on March 10.
