It’s been a landmark six months for the band since the August release of their third critically acclaimed album My Own Pool of Light. The album landed the coveted triple j feature album, was voted #5 in the best albums of 2019 by triple j listeners and received nominations for triple j album of the year and ‘Best Rock Album’ at the 2019 ARIA Awards.

Featuring current single ‘Sandra’ and lead singles ‘Maybe You Know’, ‘Teach Me About Dying’ and ‘Faces’, My Own Pool of Light is an undiluted representation of HOLY HOLY’s vision, from the songwriting to the recording process and, ultimately, their decision to self-produce. It’s an album that finds guitarist Oscar Dawson and vocalist Timothy Carroll incorporating new sounds and fresh ideas. In the process they redefine exactly what kind of band they are without sacrificing the key elements that have made them one of Australia’s most popular acts.

My Own Pool of Light succeeds HOLY HOLY’s 2017 sophomore record Paint, which debuted at #7 on the ARIA album chart and featured breakout single ‘True Lovers’. The track scored #40 on the triple j hottest 100 and is now certified platinum.

HOLY HOLY is set to embark on a small run of regional dates before they return to the studio to start work on their fourth album. They will also appear at Horizon at ANUSA in Canberra on 21 February alongside Cub Sport; Right Now Music Festival in Hobart on 4 April alongside Hilltop Hoods, and Bad Friday in Sydney alongside Pond on 10 April.
