[News] START PLANNING YOUR DAY – THIS THAT SET TIMES ARE HERE

Strap in, Newcastle. THIS THAT is 100% approved and 100% going ahead. Following QLD’s set times drop, it’s finally time for NSW to start planning the ultimate one-day rager as today, organisers deliver Newcastle’s set times and map. There’s just under three weeks THIS THAT will be once again partying at Wickham Park on Saturday March 12th, and less than a fortnight until a huge debut in QLD.

3 February 2022

Hold on to those tickets! THIS THAT Newcastle is forging ahead, now crashing Wickham Park just a fortnight later on Saturday 12th March. Still a massive double weekender, THIS THAT Sandstone Point is 100% approved, locked and loaded to kick off the party on Saturday 5th March. The iconic festival is charging forward with its colossal lineup of Aussie faves including Hayden James, WHAT SO NOT, Client Liaison, Dune Rats, Jack River, Badrapper vs Luude and stacks more.

Following the statement made by THIS THAT organisers last week, the confirmation of Newcastle’s new date means that punters in both QLD and NSW can enjoy the iconic THIS THAT experience to its fullest.

The entire original line-up will be along for the ride, except for Polish Club, who unfortunately won’t be able to make the Newcastle date. But, in true THIS THAT fashion, ticket holders can expect some scorching hot lineup additions to be announced soon.

22 September 2021

Let’s get the bad news out of the way first. The THIS THAT team had every intention of bringing the festival to Queensland and New South Wales this year. Unfortunately COVID is still trolling everyone hard and thanks (but no thanks) to Delta, THIS THAT is moving dates once again. The good news is that there is so much dancing and partying to look forward to, so this ultimate summer sesh is absolutely going to be worth the wait.

The new festival dates are:

Newcastle | SATURDAY FEBRUARY 26, 2022
Sandstone Point | SATURDAY MARCH 5, 2022

Though restrictions are not as intense in Queensland, the team always intended for THIS THAT to be a double weekender across two states with the best acts playing from around the country – and this means acts moving between borders. It’s also important to organisers that the experience is as close to the original format as possible for the first time the festival unleashes at Sandstone Point (QLD). By moving the dates to February and March, this new timeline will hopefully allow the safest and best opportunity to deliver the best festival experience for everyone.

10 February 2021

To fill ‘the space between’ now and THIS THAT, the festival team have a bunch of exciting announcements. The first? The exciting addition of ARIA award-winning rapper Illy to the already stacked line up across both locations and a final release of tickets across both locations.

The rapper has been making waves recently with his triple j feature album, The Space Between topping the ARIA charts. Also landing in the 2020 triple j Hottest 100 at #95 with ‘Loose Ends ft. G Flip’, Illy’s popularity is as powerful on stage as it is off stage. He’s set to bring his A-game to both the Newcastle and Sandstone Point editions of the festival this October and November.

Staying true to THIS THAT’s respected brand of party starter lineups, the day will be packed to the brim with the nation’s favourite electronic, hip hop, pop and rock artists. Still making their way to both Sandstone Point (QLD) and Newcastle (NSW) are Hayden James, Crooked Colours, Dune Rats plus Mallrat and The Presets (QLD only).

With the new dates locked in and ready to roll this October and November, there are more exciting announcements lurking and ready to be revealed in the lead-up. Previously sold out, today the team release a very limited allocation of additional tickets for Newcastle with Sandstone Point still on sale and almost at capacity as well. Sadly ChillinIt and Enschway are no longer able to make the new dates announced last month, however the rest of the line up remains exactly the same with the addition of Illy and more to be announced.
