[News] IVEY RETURN WITH NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO ‘PRETTY BOYS’ + ANNOUNCE HEADLINE TOUR

Today sees the return of Gold Coast five-piece Ivey with new single and video ‘Pretty Boys’ and the news that the band will be hitting the road in June and July for a headline tour.

‘Pretty Boys’ is a feel-good track from start to finish, filled with beats that will have you moving from the get-go. The track tackles the stereotypes around dating, says Millie from the band, “This song is dedicated to all the single girls living their best lives, getting rid of the stereotypes, killing the label of “slut” for girls who wanna have fun and sleep around, because it’s 2022 bish.”

The track is an all-star affair having been produced by the band, co-written with Oscar Dawson and Ali Barter, and mixed by Japanese Wallpaper. ‘Pretty Boys’ is the first piece of new music from the band since their debut EP love + miscellanea was released in 2020.

Alongside the single Ivey have announced a run of tour dates down the East Coast in support of the single this June and July, and they have been announced to perform at Surface, Springtime and Jungle Love Festivals.

Ivey is Millie, Lachie, Dante, Matt and Riley, a band of best friends from the Gold Coast. Off the back of successful singles through 2018-2020, Ivey found themselves supporting the likes of Cub Sport and Lime Cordiale and performing at Falls Festival, The Drop and Yalls Fest. The band continued in success with their debut love + miscellanea EP release in October 2020, which saw over 7 million streams and sell out shows across Queensland during the peak of Covid in October of 2020. They also picked up high rotation on radio around the country and grabbed the attention of international press such as Clash and The Line of Best Fit.

They have completed multiple headline shows and supported the likes of Ruby Fields, Ocean Alley, Confidence Man, Eves Karydas as well as hosting an annual End Of Year Party on the Gold Coast with on the rise acts supporting such as Sycco, Saint Lane, Peach Fur and more.

The past 18 months saw Ivey honing their craft and signing a new label deal with Mirror Records x Universal Music at the start of 2022.
