[News] MARLON WILLIAMS ANNOUNCES ISABELLA MANFREDI AS SPECIAL GUEST ON AUSTRALIAN EAST COAST TOUR IN FEBRUARY

Before landing in Australia next month to kick off his East Coast My Boy Tour, Marlon Williams announces he will be joined by acclaimed singer and performer Isabella Manfredi on all dates.

First rising to prominence as the frontwoman of multi-ARIA nominated four-piece The Preatures, Isabella Manfredi is one of the country’s most revered live performers, taking on stages at some of the world’s most iconic venues. With her just-released debut solo album Izzi, Isabella Manfredi presents her most daring, personal and true work to date; the expression of herself as an artist, a woman, and an individual. The duality of having arrived at peace and in her power as a solo artist is expressed in Manfredi’s debut solo offering, celebrated as a “truly joyful album… marking Manfredi’s return to storytelling” (Rolling Stone).

Manfredi will bring her accomplished live presence back to the stage, warming audiences across Australia’s East Coast ahead of Marlon Williams’ headline set.

Australia! Me and the Benders are about to head off and sharpen our tools out in the big wide world and THEN we’re stoked to be coming home to play with YOU,” says Marlon.

A celebrated live performer, Marlon Williams has wowed audiences the world over, playing major festivals, joining the likes of Lorde and Florence + The Machine live on-stage, and appearing on international late night television programs, Conan and Later with Jools Holland.

With Williams’ the release of his third solo album My Boy, the distinguished singer-songwriter is emerging anew. Gone is the solemn, country-indebted crooner with the velvet voice – in his place comes a more playful, shape-shifting creature.

Across My Boy’s eleven songs, Williams’ takes listeners on a sonic and emotional journey which the artist explains is intentional; “As a live performer one of my favourite things to do is blindside people with upsetting mood shifts. I really wanted that to come across on this record.”

Following the release of his second album, 2018’s stunning portrait of a breakup, Make Way For Love, Williams’ has become an in-demand collaborator, recording duets with Courtney Barnett, Paul Kelly and Yo-Yo Ma amongst others. My Boy parlays this flush of worldly experience into a vivid, dynamic record as spirited, complex and kinetic as the unfolding life of its performer.

An exquisite live artist, Marlon Williams is currently on the road taking his My Boy Tour across North America, and from mid-October lands in Europe for extensive headline dates. Don’t miss your chance to experience Marlon Williams live in concert in February 2023, when he returns to Australian shores.
