Multi-platinum Icelandic quintet OF MONSTERS AND MEN have announced two special shows this summer, taking in Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Tuesday 7 January, and Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Friday 10 January. The band will also bring their high energy set to Falls Festival 2019-20.

The first Icelandic band to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify, Of Monsters and Men are a global force of indie-pop and stadium folk. Known for their monstrous hooks, these singalongs sit beside vulnerable admissions with rich melodies. Last on our shores in 2016, Of Monsters and Men embarked upon a sold-out East Coast run that demanded second shows to be added in all cities. Returning with impressive third studio album FEVER DREAM, fans are sure to be chomping at the bit to hear its giant tracks – such as ‘Alligator’ the empowering anthem that raced to No.1 on the Billboard Alternative Charts.

Of Monsters and Men broke through in 2011 with debut album MY HEAD IS AN ANIMAL, which skyrocketed to No. 1 on the ARIA Charts. Lifted from that record, global smash single ‘Little Talks’ boasts 414 million streams on Spotify alone, and is six-times platinum in Australia. The band continues to enthrall audiences with their unique live show, which famously and whimsically adds trumpet, accordion, trombone, and more to the classic band set up – all tied together with powerful dual female-male lead vocals.

Writing anthemic songs that have become abundant in pop culture, Of Monsters and Men features on soundtracks for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Walking Dead, and Jessica Jones. ‘Little Talks’ was recorded in Simlish for The Sims and the band guest starred as stage musicians in Season 6 of Game of Thrones. Their otherworldly live show has also led them to sold out shows across the globe, buzzing sets at Coachella, Glastonbury, Laneway Festival, and TV performances on SNL, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and Jimmy Kimmel.

The band’s Australian visit will follow an extensive run in Europe and UK, before touching down for Falls Festival and anticipated headline dates. An enigmatic live show that’s sure to be a treat, don’t miss Of Monsters and Men this summer.
