With two ARIA top 10 albums; The Goat (#10) and Hall of Fame (#3), and 13x ARIA accredited singles, including the 3x Platinum ‘Martin & Gina’, 2x Platinum ‘RAPSTAR’, and 2x Platinum ‘Pop Out ft. Lil Tjay’, it’s no surprise Polo G earned the nickname The GOAT – ‘The Greatest of All Time’.

Inspired by ‘90s and ‘00s rap icons like Tupac, Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane, Polo G was rapping by the time he was a teenager. His earliest songs appeared online in 2017, with tracks like ‘Gang with Me’ quickly racking up millions of plays on Soundcloud. Despite his early success, it wasn’t until his breakout single ‘Finer Things’ that things really started to take off.

Releasing his debut album Die a Legend in 2019, the American rapper quickly made a name for himself on the hip hop scene. The album went RIAA Platinum in under a year thanks to tracks like ‘Pop Out ft. Lil Tjay’, which took a fast and firm stance in the US Billboard Hot 100 charts peaking at #11. In an album review, Pitchfork said ‘it takes a talented rapper to ride out a single current for an entire 16 bars, especially when each of its lines runs right into the next’.

With a career defining debut record Die A Legend under his belt, Polo released two hugely successful follow up albums, The Goat and Hall of Fame, and is showing no sign of slowing down, receiving nominations in some of the world’s most respected music award categories. In 2021 he was nominated for Best New Artist at the MTV Music Awards after ‘RAPSTAR’ from his third album Hall of Fame became his first #1 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100. The same year, ‘RAPSTAR’ was nominated for Best Hip Hop at the MTV Video Music Awards and International Song of the Year at the acclaimed Brit Awards.

Don’t miss The GOAT, Polo G, when he lands in Sydney and Melbourne for the very first time next month!
