[News] SATYRICON ANNOUNCE AUSTRALIAN TOUR

Norwegian black metal masters have postponed their Australian and Japanese tour dates until September citing personnel reasons.

Frontman Satyr says that due to personnel issues and logistics they have no choice but to delay the tour. Satyr states “We had on and off-stage personnel dropping out on us at the last minute for this tour. We would have had to really compromise on the quality of our shows, which is something that we wouldn’t want to do when we go to Australia and Japan. It’s better for us to postpone and come back and do this properly.

With the tour now in September, the revised dates are:

AUSTRALIA

Tuesday, September 4: Capitol, Perth
Thursday, September 6: Max Watts, Melbourne
Friday, September 7: Metro Theatre, Sydney
Saturday. September 8: Transit Bar, Canberra
Sunday, September 9: The Triffid, Brisbane

You would be hard pressed to think of a bigger middle finger to genre elitists than SATYRICON.

SATYRICON have been proudly forging their own unique path for over 25 years, ever evolving with each release, the duo comprised of drummer Frost and frontman Satyr have blasted up the ranks for decades producing some of the most pivotal albums in black metal.

There is a lot of whispering that this may well be the last time we ever see SATYRICON in the country but we hope that’s not the case, but if they do stop here then what a glorious endgame.

Joining SATYRICON will be one of the fastest rising Metal bands in Australia… DEADSPACE. Boasting influences from post black metal, depressive black metal, post rock, goth rock and melodic death metal but consistently failing to hide behind either. DEADSPACE bring a frenzied spirit of fury and desperation into the live arena, delivering an undeniably dense aura of emotional destruction.
