[News] THE GUM BALL 2022 FULL PROGRAM

Today Team Dashville is stoked to finally be able to share with you a little baby of ours. It’s the full program for our biggest, most beloved event, The Gum Ball, which goes down in under three weeks time.

If you’re familiar with The Gum Ball, then you’d be aware of the energy we strive to create through this festival. If you’re new to the festival, congratulations on a decision well made, you’re in for a real treat! If you’re unable to make it, we apologise for adding salt to the wound.

In 2022, with three full days of activity, supported by some helpful government funding for our ‘House of Big Dreams’ Kids Program and Young Gums Youth Mentorship program, it feels like our biggest Gum Ball program in its 18 year history. It’s all laid out below, so you be the judge.

Also heads up, we’ve added the option for Thursday night entry and for anyone who can only make a day or so, we’re trialing a new option to allow for single day entry.

As we get stuck into the next few weeks of festival prep, we encourage and appreciate everyone who shares the Gum Ball love amongst friends and trusted cohorts. It really is the best mode of travel.

Thank you! Have a great rest of week and we seriously can’t wait to see you in a few weeks time.

much love,

Team Dashville x

P.S Yes the silent disco is happening Friday and Saturday nights! We just realised we didn’t put it anywhere on the info.

The family friendly cultural jamboree will celebrate a 17th birthday in 2022 and the hard working team at Dashville are stoked to be finally getting back into business and are ready to deliver this cherished cultural escape with a positive return to days of old.

In 2022, the festival continues to connect community and culture, with distinct homage to the traditional owners of the land, the Wonnarua, featured through a one-off artwork by local Indigenous artist Debbie Becker.

The festival also hosts the Young Gums Youth Mentorship Project. A five-day mentorship project for budding young teenagers. The House Of Big Dreams is a huge kids festival program which will be announced shortly when all playing times are released.

The Gum Ball brings a selection of the best musical acts from around Australia and showcases them in an intimate setting one by one, alongside comedy, pro skateboarding, markets, workshops, camping and more.

WITH MORE TO COME

Held amongst idyllic bushland of the Hunter Valley, in the heart of Wonnarua country, The Gum Ball is the grandest event on Dashville’s calendar. In 2022 the family friendly cultural jamboree will celebrate a 17th birthday and the hard working team at Dashville are eager to get back to business, counteract the community’s disruption and deliver a much needed cultural escape with a positive return to days of old.

The festival continues to connect community and culture, with distinct homage to the traditional owners of the land, the Wonnarua, featured through a one-off artwork by local Indigenous artist Debbie Becker.

At the previous festival in 2021, Festivals Australia project funding assisted in the creation of the Young Gums Youth Mentorship Project. This five-day mentorship project was a huge success in its pilot year and organisers await eagerly the determination of their funding application for the project in 2022.
