Recently the band returned with grungy, relatable new single ‘Lucky’ which has since been added to rotation on triple j and heralded as their “best song yet” by Declan Byrne from triple j.

In contrast to their usual raucous tracks, ‘Lucky’ is a standout. Slower than expected its still replete with grungy guitar and head thumping drums – it’s sure to be a crowd favourite live. Produced by Brett Jansch (Dune Rats) and engineered by Jack Nigro (DMA’s, Skeggs) at The Grove studio, it’s a far cry from the sheds they began in.

Ruminating on the ups and downs of life, front-woman Kelly says of the track “‘Lucky’ is written as a response to anyone who has ever told you that you shouldn’t be proud about your achievements or hard work. A lot of times it’s easy to doubt yourself when people are putting you down, and we hope the song can make people realise “Nah fuck that, I worked hard for this!

Hailing from Wollongong, the female-fronted surf punk trio revealed their debut EP Cut The Poppies in May 2018, featuring breakout single ‘Uncomfortable’ which was swiftly added to rotation on triple j and included on a swag of Spotify curated playlists.

No stranger to the live circuit, TOTTY have delivered energetic sets at a raft of festivals including Yours & Owls, Grow Your Own, Fairgrounds, Falls Festival and Farmer & The Owl whilst simultaneously touring nationally with the likes of Hockey Dad and Slowly Slowly – ensuring their upcoming shows will be equally captivating.

Don’t be un-lucky and miss TOTTY this September!
