You Am I and Jebediah are two legendary bands that have resonated with Australian music fans for over two decades. As close friends and mutually agreeing that two is always better than one, the bands will tour together through late 2019 bringing all their hook laden punk rock to life for audiences around the country from ‘Purple Sneakers’ and ‘Berlin Chair’, to ‘Leaving Home’ and ‘Harpoon’.
You Am I are without doubt one of Australia’s all-time essential rock n’ roll bands. More than two decades on from their first album release, You Am I have not only had one of the longest and most successful recording careers in Australia but are also without doubt one of our most loved live bands. 31 ARIA nominations with 10 wins, 3 #1 records, 2 Platinum and 3 gold records, 5631 shows and 4 very close band members with rock and roll to burn can’t be denied their place as Australian rock royalty.
It was the mid-nineties when Jebediah first shambled on stage in their shorts, sneakers, blue hair, dimples, grins and smirks and started bouncing off the walls with their roaring riffs and soaring pop hooks, tearing the lid off the Big Day Out and the Hottest 100 overnight. 23 years on with six albums and piles of awards and acclaim later, the Jebs continue to captivate their devout fan base with their infectious energy and enthusiasm. There is no hiding the joy the band get from playing together and be it at packed pub or on a festival stage, it’s impossible to avoid their immersive charm.
