Having emerged in 2021 as one of Australia’s new favourite acts – thanks in large part to their ARIA top 10, triple j Feature album – Gardens – Perth rock outfit Sly Withers today reward their fans with a new, deluxe edition release of Gardens.
Recorded in the aftermath of the success of Gardens’ release in July this year, Gardens (Deluxe Edition) features two new originals, ‘Selfish’ and ‘Tell Me Why’; a collection of acoustic and piano covers of songs from Gardens; their brilliant early 2020 single ‘Explode Into View’; and (FINALLY YES!) a recorded version of their spectacular triple j Like A Version cover of Coldplay’s ‘The Scientist’.
Sly Withers continue their national tour this weekend in Brisbane, supported by fellow emerging stars Noah Dillon and Teenage Joans, finally performing the music from Gardens for a legion of new fans that have been patiently waiting throughout lockdown. The huge run of tour dates continue into 2022, and with more music on the horizon, you can look forward to a lot more Sly Withers in the near future.
