[Live Review] BULLHORN

Bullhorn Edit (1 of 31)

Miami Marketta, Gold Coast
Friday July 15, 2016 :

It was fitting that the introduction of the new (no stools) Dance floor area was introduced to the crowd at Miami Marketta this weekend. Brisbane’s Bullhorn was definitely the right type of band to get the crowd off them pesky stools, and on their feet, shaking what their mumma gave them!

From the outset the band immediately get the crowd moving. Pumping out thumping track after thumping track! The mix of Nuwave, Funk, Soul, RnB, Hip Hop, Dub and Reggae keeps you wondering what trick they are going to pull out of the hat next. One things for sure though, you are never disappointed.

The musical talent on the stage just blows your mind, from the relentless basslines pumping from the giant Sousaphone, to the intensity of each solo from the brass sections. Bullhorn delivers a double whooper with the lot. Included in the deal double the trumpets, double the trombones and yep you guessed it double the saxophone. With a side of Badass Sass from Roman MC and not to forget the bun holding it all together with the driving percussion from one of the best drummers to come out of Brisbane’s West end!

Roman MC has nailed the crowd interaction with his flashy freestyle’s asking the crowd to give him a word, or flash him the labels on their clothing to get it all started. Then continues to flow with some of the best freestyle rhymes you will ever hear, the man has a way with words, transforming anything into a positive message of love and peace. If the worlds leaders took advice from this MC we would definitely be living in a much better state of mind!

My advice, check out the bands social pages to get up to date on their next show near you, and don’t forget to slip on them dancing shoes, because you will be needing them!
