Bello Roots Collective was born in Bellingen, of Bellingen locals. It is bringing a cultural and world music event to the Bellingen community after a period of mass disruption due to Covid and cancelled events. Bello Roots intends to bring good vibes to the community, sharing culture, music and food together once again.
The inaugural Bello Roots Festival will be coming to Bellingen May 14th 2022 headlining accomplished musician Julian Belbachir (best known for his work with electric Dreamtime roots band OKA), Digital Afrika and Chris Tamwoy.

The festival celebrates live music and diverse culture and will debut Julian Belbachir’s album Babdoukkala. Attendees will be immersed in the fusion of reggae, dub and traditional African soundscapes, creating a spiritual atmospheric experience transporting listeners to journey through the desert night.
