[News] L-FRESH THE LION DROPS A NEW TRACK + ANNOUNCES EAST COAST TOUR

Following on from his recent comeback single ‘Alchemy’, L-FRESH The LION today returns with ‘Born To Stand Out’, a track carrying a powerful message to ‘find strength in the mirror.’ Tracing his own personal journey on finding self-acceptance, FRESH takes a moment in the breakdown to reflect on how it all began. The reflective nature of the track is complemented by its upbeat vibe that will have you moving from start to finish.

L-FRESH The LION on ‘Born To Stand Out’: “This song is about having confidence in yourself and not giving power to other people’s perceptions of you. About 4-5 years ago, I bought this dope hoodie that had the line “why blend in when you’re born to stand out” on it (shoutout TurbanInc). When I copped it, I rocked it heavy until it got worn it out. That line sums up a mentality I’ve had for a long time. When I realised the power that comes from having confidence in yourself versus giving weight to outsider’s perceptions of you, I found a type of freedom. ‘Born To Stand Out’ builds on that line.

L-FRESH has spent the last three years gaining experiences most artists never get, he’s addressed the UN, performed at Parliament House in Canberra, was selected as an ambassador for Youtube’s Creators For Change global initiative and judged Eurovision. It’s this wealth of experiences that see FRESH returning more passionate than ever. ‘Born To Stand Out’ is another taste of what’s to come from the larger body of work he is working on. The project is a celebration of the area that raised him and continues to inspire him, South West Sydney.

Bringing this inspiration to life on stages across Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, fans will be able to experience FRESH’s new material alongside familiar songs like ‘Survive’ and ‘1 in 100,000’ up close and personal this October.

‘Born To Stand Out’ is the self-empowered jam we didn’t realise we needed. Don’t sleep on this one.
