This May, the highly anticipated ‘Wide Eyed Live’ exhibition is making its comeback after two successful years, with a spin in a different direction: Wide Eyed Live Vol. 3 will be featuring all female Live Music photographers in their own retrospective exhibition.

The showcase is based around some of Sydney’s most dedicated female music photographers, who continuously rough it out the the pits and crowds to capture the most vibrant shots from the music scene and beyond. Expect to see brilliant rock’n’roll moments of live music, with international pop and rock idols and local talent captured in the first 3 songs from your favourite shows over the past 12 months.

There will be an exclusive gallery opening in the afternoon at our venue, Tortuga Studios, where the event will be held from May 7th to May 14th. Thanks to our major supporters Young Henry’s and Koru Framing Studio, there will be some excellent artwork on display (and for sale!), you’ll get to hear some sweet tunes and enjoy a few beverages at the same time.

Photographers in the showcase work for many of the major music publications covering Sydney, including The Music, Brag, Music Feeds, May the Rock Be With You, Amnplify and Casual Band Blogger. Photographers displaying their work are Clare Hawley, Rhiannon Hopley, Annette Geneva, Kierra Thorn, Gwendolyn Lee, Belinda Dipalo, Alicia Stephenson, Maria De Vera, Megan Carew, Jodie Downie and Angela Padovan. These women are impassioned by their love of photography, the connection that comes from live music and the knowledge of the impact a great photograph can bring to the viewer.
