[News] GREEN BUZZARD REVEAL NEW SINGLE + ANNOUNCE NATIONAL TOUR

Green Buzzard-2

Sydney quintet Green Buzzard are fast becoming loved by their ever growing coterie of devotees for cutting every last natural deposit of melody, fuzz and intelligence out of rock and roll’s suddenly reinvigorated open-cut mining facility.

The latest example of Green Buzzard’s ability to leave some dirt on the songwriting diamond comes in the form of their brand new single ‘(I Don’t Wanna) Break Your Heart’, the first track to be released from their forthcoming Eazy Queezy Squeezy EP which will be released on 1 April through I OH YOU. A hypercharged number whose jagged guitars and ‘we’re not just here to make up the numbers’ keyboards deliver what journalists in the olden days used to call ‘a knockout punch’, it’s just a really good song by a really good band.

Green Buzzard first appeared seemingly out of nowhere (but in reality it was Oberon via Sydney) with the track ‘Zoo Fly’ in 2015 which garnered high praise from the likes of NME, The Guardian, Q Magazine, as well as their parents and close friends who have always been supportive in spite of the overwhelming statistics suggesting that very few bands ever actually make it (Green Buzzard being an obvious exception).

Having set the bar high with their very first headline show bursting at the seams with over 400 people cramming into the Civic Hotel in Sydney, Green Buzzard are delighted to now take their impressive quiver of melodic gemstone-encrusted numbers on their very first national headline tour. The tour celebrates the release of their Eazy Queezy Squeezy EP to be released on 1 April. Having supported the likes of Bad Dreems and The Vaccines as well as playing festival slots at Mountain Sounds and Small World festivals to name but a few, Green Buzzard’s very first headline tour will be a magic carpet ride involving very little actual carpet but an excessive amount of magic.
